FG approves imports of GMO wheat from Argentina

Nigeria has approved imports of a drought-resistant, genetically modified wheat developed by Argentina's Bioceres, a company spokesperson said on Friday. Nigeria joins the list of others who have already authorized the importation of goods made from Bioceres' HB4 wheat, including Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. Nigeria’s inflation rate in June 2022 increased to 18.60 percent on a year-on-year basis. National Bureau of Statistics disclosed in its Consumer Price Index June 2022 report. The recorded increase in June is 0.84 percent points higher compared to the rate recorded in June 2021, which was 17.75 percent. Aregbesola to Immigration officers: Allow Nigerians with expired passports into the country

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has directed the Nigeria Immigration Service(NIS), to allow Nigerians in diaspora to return to Nigeria with their expired International Passports.
