Sit-at-home hoodlums bomb Imo market, scores injured

Gunmen enforcing the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) yesterday bombed the popular Izombe market in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. A witness reported that the incident led to pandemonium as traders and customers in the market scampered for safety. The source said the gunmen were said to have stormed the market and warned the traders of the implications of coming out on a Monday for their business transaction. Two church leaders abducted in Ogun have been released. These are the items collected by the kidnappers before freeing their victims

The two worshippers abducted last Monday by gunmen at the Celestial Church of Christ, Oshofa, Wasimi, in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, have been released. Anglican Bishop of Jebba Diocese, Kwara State, Oluwaseun Aderogba, his wife and driver who were kidnapped by gunmen on Sunday night have been released. Gunmen abduct Anglican bishop, wife, driver in Oyo

Anglican Bishop of Jebba Diocese, Kwara State, Oluwaseun Aderogba, and his wife have been abducted by gunmen. His driver was also said to have been kidnapped alongside the couple who were traveling on the new Oyo-Ogbomoso Expressway in Oyo State. Killers of Afenifere leader, Fasoranti’s daughter sentenced to death

Three persons involved in the killing of Olufunke Olakuri, daughter of Afenifere Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, have been sentenced to death by hanging. They were sentenced by an Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure. Presiding Judge, William Olamide, however, discharged and acquitted the fourth suspect, Auwàla Abubakar, who is the spokesman of Miyetti Allah.
