Founder of a failed crypto exchange sentenced to 11,000 years in prison

A Turkish court sentenced Faruk Fatih Ozer, the founder of failed crypto exchange Thodex, to 11,196 years in prison. Ozer and his two siblings received similar jail times on Thursday, Bloomberg reported. The court found them guilty of fraud and other charges. Scores abducted as gunmen open fire on commercial buses on Abuja-Lokoja highway

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have opened fire on two commercial buses and abducted scores of the passengers near Ochonyi village, along the Abuja-Lokoja highway. Gunmen kidnap 12 in Zamfara, Borno states

At least 12 people have been kidnapped in two separate incidents in northern Nigeria, officials and witnesses said on Saturday. In the first incident, unidentified assailants kidnapped four people late on Friday. NDLEA intercepts fake $20m on FCT road - Official

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted $20 million cash suspected to be counterfeit. The agency said its operatives found the stash on Friday during a stop and search operation along Abaji-Lokoja road in the federal capital territory (FCT). Killings by terrorists, criminal gangs took lives of 5,166 Nigerians between January and July 2023 - Report

No fewer than 5,166 Nigerians were killed while there were 1,830 cases of abduction across the country between January and July this year.
