Residents flee Zamfara communities as bandits threaten to attack

Residents of 10 communities in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State have fled their homes for fear of being attacked by a notorious bandits’ leader, Dan Nagala, who earlier sent attack threats to them. At least nine people have been killed after an armed militia invasion on Anyom settlement in Mbatyula Council Ward of Kastina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State. Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited Betta Edu, minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation, to its headquarters for investigation.
