Oyo to host FG’s Special Town Hall meeting Thursday

Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Toye Arulogun, on Sunday, said the state government will on Thursday, host another edition of Federal Government Special Town meeting.

Arulogun in a statement issued in Ibadan, the state capital, said the Special Town Hall meeting, focused on infrastructure is in line with one of the cardinal objectives of Muhammadu Buhari led administration of infrastructural revival and accelerated development of Nigeria’s railways, roads, industries and power, amongst others.

According to him, the Special Town Hall meeting on Infrastructure will hold at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, Opposite University College Hospital (UCH) by 10:00am.

He stated that the Town Hall meeting would be an avenue for the Federal Government delegation to communicate government’s policies and activities as well as receive feedback on infrastructural development, disclosing that Governor Abiola Ajimobi, will be the host.

Arulogun noted that the Special Town Hall meeting will provide a platform for stakeholders, in the construction and transportation sectors, policy makers and the general public to gainfully engage with the federal cabinet ministers in discussing the journey so far, the challenges and the way forward in the provision of massive infrastructure within the limited resources of the nation.

He added that Minister of Information and Culture, Mr. Lai Muhammed will be accompanied to the Town Hall meeting by the Ministers of Power, Works & Housing; Water Resources; Finance and Budget; Health and National Planning.
