324,000 applicants nationwide have commenced screening exercise for 4,000 job spaces in Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Speaking yesterday during an assessment tour to the screening centres in Abuja, Corps Marshal, Mr Boboye Oyeyemi said a total of 4,200 vacancies were available.

He said 3,200 vacancies were available for Road Marshal assistants while 1,000 vacancies were available for Marshal Inspectorate cadre.

Oyeyemi said applicants would go through different levels of screening exercise ranging from credentials, aptitude test to be conducted by Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB), interview screening and drug test.

He said some irregularities ranging from the presence of married women, who were not supposed to participate in the recruitment exercise, was noticed.

He also frowned at the presence of pregnant women and applicants below the height limit required for the job.

Oyeyemi appreciated the military and Department of State Security Services (DSS) for their support in ensuring smooth conduct of the screening exercise.
