APC, PDP’s primaries will be disrupted except ASUU strike resolved, NANS vows

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) says there will be no presidential primaries in Abuja until the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities resolve their differences and call off the strike action. The supreme court has affirmed the nullification of the participation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Andy Uba, in the November 2021 Anambra governorship election. In the judgment delivered on Tuesday, the apex court, in a unanimous decision by a five-member panel of justices, held that Uba did not emerge through a valid primary. The court held that the primary which produced Uba was conducted in breach of the party’s guidelines. A Federal High Court in Abuja has sacked Yakubu Dogara from the House of Representatives and declared his seat vacant. Dogara, who represents Bogoro/Dass Federal constituency of Bauchi State, was the Speaker of the House of Representatives between 2015 and 2019. The judge, D.U. APC fixes nomination fees, dates for primary elections for presidential aspirants, others

All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its primary election timetable for various public offices ahead of the 2023 elections. The timetable was released by the party after its national executive committee (NEC) meeting on Wednesday in Abuja.
