The Senate is looking into the alleged lopsided recruitment at the Department of State Services(DSS), following public outcry in the country.

Chairman of the Senate Commitee on Federal Character, Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura (APC, Zamfara) who stated this during plenary today said his committee is looking at it.

He assured that his committee would ensure that justice is done. Kaura also said that there are issues with other agencies regarding compliance to the federal character law.

In his remark, Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki commended the committee for looking into the matter.

"We have taken note of this. I'm happy that you are looking at it. I hope you will keep us abreast", he said.

It would be recalled that there have been allegations that the latest recruitment into the DSS was skewed in favour of a section of the country.
