Candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Delta on Monday complained of poor network during the examination.

The candidates told NAN in Asaba in separate interviews that they also experienced malfunctioning mouse and computers that took too long to boot.

Chukwuemeka Chijindu said that the poor network might have adverse impact on his result.

Adeola Ayeni, however, said that she was lucky that her computer worked well but that some other candidates were not so lucky as they had to shake the computers vigorously before they responded.

According to her, all candidates in the hall were given the same time to write the examination and that no extra time was added for those having problems with their computers.

Another candidate, Ifeanyi Okpala, corroborated the complaints of other candidates. She said that the time wasted due to poor internet network might have negative effect on candidates’ results.

Meanwhile, JAMB Coordinator in the state, refused to comment on the issues raised, saying that he was not authorised to speak.
