Former chief of Army Staff, Mr Theophilus Y Danjuma sneaked into Minna, Niger state capital‪, Thursday evening‬ during which he held a private meeting with former military president, Mr Ibrahim Babangida.

Danjuma came in a private jet which landed at Minna airport from where he was driven in a black Mercedes Benz car to the residence of Babangida.

The meeting between the duo was held at the uphill residence of Babangida and was said to have lasted more than 3 hours.

A source said that on arrival at the residence, and after the exchange of greetings, they went in to have lunch after which they asked all the domestic staff of the former military president to vacate the sitting room where the meeting took place.
 
"Nobody can tell you what they discussed at the meeting. It was only IBB and Danjuma that were in the living room upstairs", the source said.

After the meeting the former Chief of Army staff was driven to Minna airport from where he was flown out of the state.

The visit of General Danjuma came almost a month after Babangida wrote an open   letter to President Muhammadu Buhari asking him to leave the presidency for younger generation of Nigerians next year.
 
The visit also came on the heels of the abduction of  110 school girls at Dapchi in Yobe state eleven days ago.

Since Danjuma is Chairman of Presidential Task Force on North East resettlement scheme, it was believed that the meeting between him and his host may have centred on the two issues and the prevailing situation in the country.
