Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes ~ Isaiah 54:2.
Introduction:
I have long discovered that any person, under God, who really wants something done will find a way to do it. Conversely, people who don't plan for any accomplishment on earth will equally find plenty of excuses.
We must stand right to do and experience something today that our future selves will thank us for. Happily, beloved, our season of supernatural expansion is here! Alleluia!!
Supernatural expansion means spreading out, developing or expressing the reach of your destiny in a fuller form. It also means unfolding the horizon of your life in greater details, beyond and above human imaginations, spiritually, materially, financially, intellectually, socially, in your faith, home, business, and so on.
Pure supernatural expansion is a covenant issue. Hence, it will require a steadfast covenant walk with God in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit to guarantee true supernatural enlargement (Haggai 2:5-7).
Yes, in the natural world, metals expand when heat is applied, and the human mind expands with experience. But, it takes the radiance of the Holy Ghost to experience all-round expansion (Luke 1:5-37)! Whenever He is involved, He flushes out every illegal occupiers of your life-space and enlarges your coastlines.
The Place of Personal Commitment to God’s Wisdom
When God expands your horizon, you are changed from failure to success, from nobody to somebody, from emptiness to abundance, from few to plenty, and from big to even bigger.
However, wisdom is very essential in the course of supernatural expansion (Proverbs 24:3-5). The price of ignorance is destruction and lack, but the profit of wisdom is supernatural enrichment and legendary increase.
From 2 Kings 6:1-7, we are informed that the place where the sons of the prophet dwelt became too small for them, but they desired expansion first before they experienced it. The first card of wisdom, therefore, which anyone who wishes to experience expansion must hold tightly is strong desire.
Every real change begins with a burning desire. A weak desire does not inspire you to pay the necessary price for the desired change. Until you are fed up with where you are, you won’t do whatever it takes to achieve something bigger and better, and until your desire becomes a decision, it will never take off.
Desire and determine to act upon it. No matter what you are or have, you can become better and have more if you will only pursue it with a strong desire.
Next to desire is the wisdom to work smarter on your life’s objectives. You were made to make a difference, so embrace every opportunity to do so. Schedule wise action steps towards achieving your goals, and look for better ways of doing your job that will cut down the time and energy needed to get the job done.
There are many implements that can be used to cut down a tree: a knife, a hammer, a cutlass or an axe. The sons of the Prophet wisely chose an axe. Today, you can even use a motorized chain-saw, and do a neater and faster job.
The law of success demands that you pay the price if you want to succeed, and the basic law of expansion requires that you do more than you have been doing if you desire increase. There is no success on earth without work. Life rewards actions, and punishes indolence.
Expansion places a demand on your physical, emotional and financial resources. Mean contributions always lead to average results. Success is directly proportional to inputs. As you work harder and smarter, you are set to experience mind-boggling results.
If you want to multiply your result, increase your inputs. And, if you must increase your incomes astronomically, then significantly increase your offering and become committed to tithing and giving as of a lifestyle.
Yes, divine assistance is available only to those who ask (1 Chronicles 4:10). Prayers can move the hand of God to help you accomplish incredible results. But, keep in mind that prayer does not take the place of work. Prayer only brings the blessings of God on what you do; hence, you must be up and doing something.
Moreover, it is wisdom to learn to partner and network with others. The bigger your dream, the more people you need to fulfill it. ‘One’ is too small a number to achieve greatness. You must prayerfully locate your divinely ordained partners in progress, and learn to excite them about getting involved.
The man holding the axe in the storyline was not in it alone. God never planned for you to succeed alone, and you cannot do anything of real value alone. What you lack is always in someone’s hand. Teamwork is at the heart of great achievement. That is the eternal demand of significance.
Furthermore, always stay close to your spiritual leader. Satan will always try to attack you whenever you make a move to expand. But, your spiritual leader is ordained to speak into your life and reverse your losses (2 Kings 6:3).
It would certainly have been the end of story for those young prophets if Elisha was not there with them to restore their hope of achieving their desired expansion and to put them back on the cutting edge.
Lastly, it is wisdom to always persevere (Romans 5:3-5; James 1:2-4). You may have been trying to expand, but stalled by forces which steal vision, hope, finance, energy, zeal, connections and other instruments of expansion. Never faint: God is about to change your story (Galatians 6:9).
You may even have lost your joy and the strength required for your desired expansion. No matter how painful the blows from the enemy, or how distressing the situations seem, shake off every challenges and step up. Certainly, you will see your signs again!
Most importantly, we must note here that the team worked for the expansion of their prophetic school, nothing personal. Laboring for the expansion of the house of God automatically qualifies you for supernatural favour. The key to kingdom rewards is kingdom works (Revelation 3:8).
Idle Christians cannot earn a crown from God. We are saved by grace but we are rewarded for our works (Ruth 2:12, 2 Chronicles 15:7; 29:1-11). When you give God what He wants, He will give you what you desire. And, what you make happen for God’s kingdom, God will make happen for you.
Friends and brethren, it’s your turn for supernatural expansion. You must receive a wisdom beyond human understanding, and the anointing to do whatever is required for your enlargement.
No one can stall what God wishes to do. He will do for you what no man can do for you. Your iron axe-head will still swim upon the waters. Go forth to conquer! Go forth to expand and prosper, in Jesus’ precious name. Amen. Happy Sunday!
