Atiku wins Yobe, senate president Lawan’s home state, who himself wins election back to senate

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has won the February 25 presidential election in Yobe State. The State Returning Officer, Umar Pate announced that Atiku polled 198,567 votes. The former Vice President won with over 45,000 votes ahead of his closest rivals – Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has emerged winner of the presidential election in Ondo State. Tinubu polled a total of 369,924 votes to emerge victorious. He was trailed from a distance by candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, who garnered a total of 115,463 votes. Cross River gov Ben Ayade defeated in senatorial election

Governor Ben Ayade has lost his bid to return to the Senate following his defeat by the incumbent senator representing Cross River North, Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe.
