PDP, LP, others accuse INEC of collusion with APC to rig elections, walk out of collation centre, Abuja

Agents of major opposition parties at the national collation centre in Abuja walked out of the venue in protest at the exercise. Dino Melaye and Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP had accused INEC of violating the Electoral Act by going ahead with the result collation and announcement despite not uploading the results on the iREV portal. Agents of some other parties, including those of the SDP, LP and ADP had expressed similar views. The aggrieved agents all walked out of the venue. INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu rejected the demand of the agents and said the collation and announcements would continue.…

International observers blame INEC for making Nigerians doubt conducts and outcomes of presidential, NASS elections

A coalition of international election observers has blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for lack of transparency in the conduct of the 2023 presidential and national assembly elections in Nigeria. Peter Obi wins with 90 percent of votes cast in Enugu

Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has been declared winner of the presidential election in Enugu State. Obi won with almost 90 per cent (88.7 per cent) of the votes cast in the state. He secured 482,990 votes to defeat his closest challenger Atiku Abubakar, who scored 15,749 votes. Bola Tinubu of the APC scored 4,772 votes, less than 1 per cent. Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has failed to deliver his Local Government Area to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Presidential election. Thugs attack Igbo traders in Lagos markets after Tinubu’s defeat

Armed thugs on Monday invaded some markets in Lagos, attacking Igbo traders in the process. Markets allegedly invaded include Ladipo auto parts market, Balogun and Ebute-Ero on the Lagos Island and Mainland. Those affected alleged that some of the thugs broke into shops and made away with goods. Some traders were said to have sustained injuries while trying to flee from the area. Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, has won the presidential election in Jigawa State, North-west Nigeria. Niger gov Sani Bello wins Niger North senatorial seat

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has won the senatorial seat of Niger North Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Bello won with a difference of 12,044 votes to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party who came second. Okada rider wins Kaduna Rep election on LP platform

A Labour Party candidate for the Kaura Federal constituency of Southern Kaduna, Donatus Mathew, has been declared winner of the Saturday poll.
