Federal investigators have reached the site of a South Dakota plane crash that killed nine members of a prominent US business family on Saturday. Spanning four generations, they had been travelling back home to Idaho after an annual pheasant-hunting trip. A man in Maine was killed after his homemade booby trap malfunctioned, according to police. Police say 65-year-old Ronald Cyr dialed 911 to report being shot on Thanksgiving night in Van Buren, near the state’s border with Canada. Police arrived and found Cyr’s home had a booby trap set up to fire a handgun at anyone who opened the house’s front door.
