National Working Committee Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) has officially informed leadership of Ebonyi state chapter of the party of the planned defection of governor David Umahi to the party.

The state chairman of APC, Eze Nwachukwu dropped this hint on Wednesday.

Nwachukwu said that he was officially informed in Abuja.

He explained that the meeting held on Wednesday was attended by national leaders of the party.

“I’m just coming out from a meeting held in Abuja where I was officially informed of Governor Umahi’s plan to dump the opposition party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to our ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)

“So wait till details are made known to you in Ebonyi by tomorrow.

“On weather I have been contacted the answer is ‘YES’ and it was done by leaders of our party in Abuja, simple. You will get details”, he said.

The hint of Umahi defection came barely 24 hours after he met with PDP national working committee in Abuja.
