A former Head of State, Mr Yakubu Gowon, said on Saturday he and another ex-Head of State, Mr Abdulsalami Abubakar, were among key figures who stopped former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s impeachment by the National Assembly in 2007. Buhari wins as Appeal Court throws out suit challenging president’s academic qualification

Court of Appeal in Abuja has rejected an appeal challenging President Muhammadu Buhari’s academic qualification to stand for the last presidential election. Mr Mohammed Idris, in the lead judgment of a unanimous decision of a three-man panel, upheld an earlier judgment by a Federal High Court in Abuja, dismissing the suit on the grounds that it was statute-barred and robbed the court of jurisdiction to entertain the suit. Leaked document contradicts INEC’s claim it had no server

An internal circular of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has indicated that the commission transmitted voter information from smart card readers to a central server during 2019 presidential election. House of Representatives has resolved to wade into the crisis rocking Edo State House of Assembly. To this end, the House set up a 13-man panel to investigate recent development in the Assembly. Osun guber: Oyetola wins in split Supreme Court judgement

Supreme Court has dismissed appeal filed by Peoples Democratic Party and its governorship candidate in the September 2018 election in Osun State, Mr Ademola Adeleke, challenging the election of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of All Progressives Congress. Sudan's military leaders have reached an agreement with the opposition alliance to share power before holding elections, mediators say. Lanlehin accuses Makinde of ‘bad faith,’ withdraws from coalition
