I won’t ever step down for Obaseki – Imasuagbon, PDP aspirant

An aspirant of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the coming governorship primary, Mr Kenneth Imasuagbon, has vowed that he will not succumb to internal or external pressure to step down for Governor Godwin Obaseki to secure the party’s ticket. Before Obaseki defected to the party, three aspirants - Messers Gideon Ikhine, Ogbeide Ihama and Kenneth Imansuangbon, had been screened by PDP screening committee. Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has formerly joined Peoples Democratic Party. The governor made this known on Friday afternoon when he led some of his appointees and supporters to PDP secretariat in Benin-City. FCT High Court on Thursday extended an order earlier permitting Mr Victor Giadom to act as national chairman of All Progressives Congress to 14 days. Edo 2020: PDP considers waiver for Obaseki, postpones primary election

National Working Committee of Peoples Democratic Party held a meeting in Abuja over the Edo State chapter of the party. Court of Appeal has upheld suspension of Mr Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC). A three-member panel of the appeal court affirmed the suspension on Tuesday in Abuja. In a judgment delivered by Mr Mohammed Lamido, the court dismissed Oshiomhole’s appeal for lacking in merit.
