Mr Jude Okeke of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory is dead. The 64-year-old died at National Hospital in Abuja.

Okeke until his demise occupied the ninth position in the hierarchy of FCT High Court judges.

He hailed from Idemili North Local Government Area of Onitsha, Anambra State.

It was gathered that he complained of chest pain a few days ago before his condition worsened.

He was called to Bar in 1985 and completed his National Youth Service the following year.

Okeke was in active private practice of Law until he was appointed a Judge in FCT High Court in 2007.

With his death, the number of FCT High Court judges drops from 34 to 33.
