US Embassy denies denying Oyedepo visa

United States Embassy in Nigeria has denied reports that it rejected the visa application of Mr David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners' Chapel International. Thisday had reported that the cleric was denied a visa, a report which went viral on social media. The US, in a tweet on Friday, however, said, "FalseNews Alert! WHO declares coronavirus global health emergency

The new coronavirus has been declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization, as the outbreak continues to spread outside China. Smoking and drinking could increase your brain's age - Study

People that smoke and drink on a daily basis could show a "modest increase" in the age of their brain, a new study suggests. Researchers have found that those people who like to regularly indulge in alcohol and cigarettes appear to have slightly older brains than those who do not or only occasionally smoke or drink. Total debt owed to World Bank Group by Nigeria rose by $1.3bn in one year to $9.81bn (N3 trillion) as of September 2019, latest data from Debt Management Office showed on Wednesday. FG’s fiscal deficit hit N4.62tn in 2019 - CBN

Federal Government recorded a fiscal deficit of N4.62tn in its operations in the 2019 fiscal period, figures obtained from Central Bank of Nigeria have revealed. 2019 budget, signed by President Muhammadu Buhari, had capital expenditure of N2.09tn, recurrent expenditure of N4.05tn, statutory transfers of N502bn, and special intervention of N500bn. FG appeals court judgment reducing expatriate fees

Federal government has appealed the ruling of Federal High Court in Lagos on the collection and remittance of the Combined Expatriate and Residence Permit Aliens Card (CERPAC) fees.
