EU warns of possible visa restrictions on Nigerians going to Europe

European Union says it would impose restrictive visa implementation rules on Nigeria, if it fails to play its part in the return and readmission of its nationals staying illegally in the EU. FAAC: Revenue declines 10 percent as FG, states, LGs share N647bn for January

Nigeria’s federal, states and local governments on Wednesday shared a total of N647.35 billion for January as the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting ended in Lagos. The N647.35 billion shared is 9.63 per cent lower than the N716.29 billion shared in December 2019. Mr Mahmoud Isa-Dutse, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, made the announcement while briefing journalists after the meeting. 23 die in stampede as Borno gov distributes food in Niger Republic

At least 23 people have been reported killed in a stampede that occurred as officials of Borno State Government distributed food items to Nigerian refugees living in Niger Republic. World's richest man pledges $10bn to fight climate change

Amazon boss Jeff Bezos has pledged $10bn (£7.7bn) to help fight climate change. The world's richest man said the money would finance work by scientists, activists and other groups. He said: "I want to work alongside others both to amplify known ways and to explore new ways of fighting the devastating impact of climate change." 22 persons accompanying bride burnt to death in automobile crash in Katsina

At least 22 people escorting a newly wedded lady to her husband’s home perished on Saturday evening in an automobile accident along Kankia-Danja Road, Katsina State. Seventeen others were seriously injured in the accident, but the bride escaped unhurt.
