Germany's Merkel goes into quarantine after contact with infected doctor

German chancellor Angela Merkel went into quarantine on Sunday after coming into contact with a coronavirus-infected doctor shortly after announcing more curbs on social interaction to slow the spread of the disease. Merkel, 65, will continue her work from home and will submit to repeated tests over the next few days, her spokesman said in a statement, adding it was too soon for a conclusive test yet. Nigeria goes into isolation as FG bans all international flights

Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the closure of all the country’s airports to international flights till April 23, 2020. Director-General of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mr Musa Nuhu disclosed this in a letter to all foreign airlines and operators on Saturday. He said domestic flights will continue normal operations at all airports. NCAA had shut down the international wing of three airports in Nigeria on Friday. WAEC postpones WASSCE 2020 over coronavirus

West African Senior School Certificate Examination, 2020, has been postponed indefinitely. West African Examinations Council made this known in a statement on Friday. National Identity registration centres shut down

National Identity Management Commission on Thursday ordered the immediate shutdown of all its enrollment centres. According to the commission, the move is part of the measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
