Oyo gov gets coronavirus, appoints ex-UCH CMD head of Covid-19 Task Force

Governor of Oyo State, Mr Seyi Makinde, has announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19. “I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. Lagos has just discharged 5 Coronavirus patients from hospital. One of them recounts her near-death experience

Lagos State Government on Monday discharged five coronavirus patients who received treatment at Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. This is coming days after the government announced that six of the patients had recovered and would be discharged soon. The total number of those who have recovered is now eight. The United States Mission in Nigeria has announced commencement of evacuation of its citizens from Nigeria. This is happening after Germany, Israel, and France evacuated their nationals following the rising cases of coronavirus disease in the country. Buhari places Abuja, Lagos, Ogun on lockdown

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday ordered the cessation of movement in Lagos and the capital Abuja for 14 days in an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus. FG tightens offshore oil rules after vessel workers get coronavirus

Israel charters Air Peace aircraft to evacuate citizens from Nigeria

The State or Israel yesterday began evacuation of its citizens from Nigeria following the rising level of coronavirus cases. Debt Management Office (DMO) as at February 29, 2020 had issued a total of N968.092 billion promissory notes to oil marketers, states, federal agencies and exporters on behalf of Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN). Kaduna gov tests positive for coronavirus

Kaduna state governor, Mr Nasir El-Rufai has confirmed that he tested positive for coronavirus. El-Rufai disclosed this in a video shared on the official Account of Governor of Kaduna State, @GovKaduna. Buildings destroyed, 20 wounded as explosion rocks Akure

There was tension in Akure, Ondo State capital, yesterday as no fewer than 20 persons sustained varying degrees of injuries in an explosion that rocked the town. This came 13 days after a devastating explosion also rocked Abule Ado area of Lagos in which scores lost their lives and several property destroyed.
