Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it ~ Jeremiah 1:12.

Introduction:

The subject of dreams is very pertinent to the Christian faith, especially to candidates of greatness and supernatural expansion.

Vision is the indisputable bedrock of blessing. No matter what the plans of God are concerning your life, you must see them first before the hand of destiny will work them out. No wonder, oftentimes, we are limited by what we see.

Whenever progress stalls in a life, declension and death set in. Therefore, anytime you see in your storyline what looks like stagnation or a slight deviation from the provisions of God’s Word, you must react sharply in your spirit against it.

Great achievements and beautiful lives are products of great dreams. What you dream is what you become and possess. Abraham dreamed broadly, and he became the father of many nations (Genesis 13:14-15). Joseph also started out as a great dreamer and he ended up on the throne (Genesis 37:5-11).

God always blesses people who embrace dreams that serve as compasses for His plans and purposes on earth. He is ever eager to see His people go forward and become great in life (Deuteronomy 1:6-8; Exodus 14:15; Ezekiel 36:35-36).

However, whenever He decides to bless a man, He first anoints him to see inspiring pictures in the spirit realm. Ever before Israel experienced the wonders by the walls of Jericho, God’s foremost step was to command Joshua to see (Joshua 6:2).

It is critically important that you define what you allow your spiritual eyes to see. They are the doorways to your destiny (Matthew 6:22-23). If you keep the heavenly vision in your view, you will become unstoppable on your track to greatness (Psalm 84:7; Proverbs 4:18)!

Dreams and Greatness

A man that has no dreams or expectations in life leaves nothing for God to bless or empower for great accomplishments (Psalm 145:19; Proverbs 23:18). And, a man of voided dreams is like a living dead.

There must be regular pictures in your mind for the future of your destiny, your family, calling, business etc. If you don’t want to end up as a mediocre tomorrow, start dreaming big dreams today.

Dreams are clear mental pictures of your preferred future. They are divine portraits affixed to your spirit to define the blueprint of what you are to become or achieve in your future and to guide you to greatness. Your vision wells up to regular focus in the eyes of your spirit, and it pretty well defines your inner longings, hopes, expectations and aspirations.

Dreamers are rulers. If you live without a dream, you die like a 'nobody'. Dreams provoke cravings, which drive our lives to overcome life’s obstacles (Psalm 10:17; Mark 11:24). Hence, the devil is always afraid of men with great dreams.

A life without a dream is like a ship without a compass, or like a car without a steering wheel. To live without a dream is like merely existing without a purpose. Such a life is aimless, goalless, and vulnerable to evil of all descriptions. He stands for nothing, and he must fall for anything!

A man without visions says: ‘life is difficult; I don’t see how I can make it’. And, truly, life can be very difficult for the blind. But, a man with visions and specific goals says: ‘If others can do it, I also can’.

Genuine vision is a pure language of the spirit, which communicates God’s plan to an individual based on his understanding of God, self and the particular circumstances. Without vision, the foundation and the building blocks of any destiny can be very unreliable. No wonder then that a lack of vision is a calamity of an unimaginable dimension!

Our vision must be sharp and well focused on issues that contribute to our God’s inspired goals. A focused life is a most potent force on earth. Men, like Apostle Paul, who are visionary enough to make a difference in history are men of unusual focus (Philippians 3:13-14).

Generally, vision focuses on the future. Vision gives us the sustaining drive when our personal opinion is to quit. Dreams are catalysts that propel us forward, not backward as in backward thinking. Indeed, we are nothing but the sum of all of our dreams.

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream only by night in the dusty recesses of their minds awake to the day to find it was all vanity. But the dreamers of the day are fantastically dangerous, for they act out their dreams with open eyes, to shake the world.

The poorest man on earth is not he who is without a kobo in his pockets, but he who is without a dream. Vision gives the ability to grow and dream even greater dreams. Vision helps us to tackle life with enthusiasm, making life worth living and empowering us for sustainable breakthroughs.

There is always enough power available to men of vision to accomplish their God-given tasks, and to keep rank among equals. Paul was obedient to the ‘heavenly vision’; he received grace and became an iconic apostle. No doubt, a man of vision is a man of endless achievements, going somewhere to happen.

Men of vision are also men of choice and strong determination. True visions generate passions and drives, which dominate and eventually determine how far a man will go on earth. Visions define how much a man will cover in the expansive terrains of destiny.

To do well, you must see well! No matter how hard you struggle, if you cannot see well, you cannot get well or go far in life. For so long, Abraham saw childlessness, and he experienced a prolonged delay in childbearing (Genesis 15:2). Until you see well, even God won’t hurry to grant you an access to divine performance (Jeremiah 1:10-12).

See God well, He is the Architect of your destiny. See yourself well, you cannot be higher than what you see of yourself (Number 13:33). And, see the situations around you in the light of the Word of God. The way you see the world around you will determine how you live in it.

Meanwhile, whenever God gives us visions, we must be diligent enough to move them into actualization by adding drivers to our dreams. From the book of Habakkuk 2:1-4, we are told to wisely write the vision down, make it plain, read it and run with it. There is time no more for those who wish to crawl or even walk leisurely. It is time to run!

Heavenly-inspired visions are always too big for one man to actualize. Pass the vision round to others. Put it into action, now. Never shut yourself in like a snail. Begin to run with it, and go for great accomplishments today.

Friends and brethren, I see the angel of the Lord erecting a wall of fire between you and the enemies of your destiny. Cooperate, confront and flatten whatever stands in your way to greatness. No force from the depths of hell will be able to hold you down any more. Yes, your eyes will forever see the joy of new levels, in Jesus Name. Happy Sunday!
