Introduction:
With greatest joy in my heart, and with special thanks unto the Lord God Almighty, I welcome you all to Year 2022. We are alive today because of God’s matchless grace and steadfast faithfulness. Alleluia!
Thank you also, my dear readers, for being part of my life and ministries. All those who loved us or responded to our love, and all those who prayed for us or encouraged us one way or the other in the course of the just-ended year, thank you very much.
No doubt, the year 2021 offered a basket of varieties, of joy, uncertainties and anxieties. For some, it took and took and took, and for some it gave and gave and gave again, even up till the last minute.
Whatever happened, we must now forget the past and focus on God and what He wishes to do in our lives to rechristen our future in the next twelve months. One wise man said: "The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook” (William James).
We must be repositioned with renewed determination for God to continue blessing us profusely until our heads touch the top, and until we begin to enjoy the fullness of His fitting glory by the power of His excelling grace.
By a sure Word from the Lord, in this new year 2022, the faithful shall flourish. They shall enjoy supernatural increase and soar to higher kingdom relevance, in Jesus name. Amen.
Yes, I see believers breaking free from the shackles of poverty, failure and defeat. I see them commanding eye-popping results and mind-boggling accomplishments that will soon take the world by storm.
Smallness in any area of your life now does not mean "continue weeping, and bemoan your stature"; it rather means "go forward, and become great"! Going forward will lead you into freedom and life. Going backward plunges people into slavery and death.
Beloved, God is about to take you to another level. Prepare yourself, and make up your mind to expand and go forward this new year. Believe it, your season of supernatural expansion is here, and strange advancement is knocking at your door right now, in Jesus name. Amen.
Understanding the Supernatural
From the gallery of Solomon’s wisdom, we know that there is a Supernatural Person that decides who wins the race, who becomes wealthy or who wins the war (Ecclesiastes 9:11).
Knowledge, skill and diligence are useful and very essential, but you must trust the supernatural power of God to make things happen (Zechariah 4:6). And, when the supernatural power of God is working in your favour, failure, disappointment, stagnation, setback, sorrow and abandonment are summarily overruled.
The important question to ask at this point is: what is “supernatural”? Basically, “supernatural” describes anything relating to what is above or beyond the natural; something unexplainable by natural law or phenomena.
The supernatural is “super-natural”, that is, “superior-to-the-natural”. Simply put: it is power that is above the natural, power that rules, influences and controls the natural.
Often times, “supernatural” defines preternatural occurrences of superlative degrees pertaining to, characteristic of, or attributed to God or a deity, which could be positive or negative. In this piece, we are rather concerned with the positive supernatural, with origin in God.
To operate in the supernatural is to operate outside and above the natural laws. When Jesus walked on the water, turned ordinary water into wine, raised the dead, made the blind see, deaf hear, cripple walk, lepers cleansed, He was operating in the supernatural realm.
When Peter collected tax money from the mouth of a fish at the instruction of Jesus, it was the supernatural power that was in manifestation.
When Moses stretched the rod, and the Red Sea parted into two, it was supernatural. When he spoke to the Rock that followed them, and water gushed out, it was supernatural. Even the Wall of Jericho fell down supernaturally.
When Joshua spoke to the sun and the moon, and they obeyed him, it was an unforgettable supernatural manifestation.
Supernatural empowerment, therefore, is empowerment that comes by the supernatural power of God, a royal authority gotten not just by following natural wisdom and principles of politics alone.
Engaging The Supernatural Power of God
Please always keep it in mind that our God, the Most High God, must be involved in our lives to generate pure and durable supernatural expansion (Genesis 9:27; Exodus 34:24). We all need the supernatural God to fit us for joy and goodness on earth (Psalms 77:14).
There can be no meaningful relationship between similar species without some level of engagement in words, thoughts or deeds. God is always longing to engage us at all levels, but, we have to tune into His spiritual channel, and learn to discern His voice amidst the noisome concoctions of the world around us.
No exploit can be recorded in life without the supernatural dimension and operation, just like no equipment can function without power! Hence, the believers are wired to have supernatural-to-supernatural engagement in the spirit realm, and are built to enjoy a God-to-god relationship with our Father-God (Hebrews 12:9).
Surely, Our Creator-Father-God, the God of the Bible, is a supernatural God of swift wonders (Job 9:10-11; Psalms 77:14). And, when He does wonders in a life, the life itself becomes a wonder (Psalms 71:7; Acts 3:10).
God can do anything in your favour. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His power has no limits (Job 42:2). He is the good God and He does not change (Malachi 3:6).
However, in engaging with the supernatural power of the Most High God, we need to calm down, clean up, look up to Him, trust Him, and close in with Him (John 11:40; 1 Peter 3:15).
Friends and brethren, this New Year, the Almighty God shall expand the reach of your destiny in all ramifications and beyond all human imaginations. With confident faith in the Lord’s goodness, I declare that your joy will escalate, and an upsurge of celebrations shall surround you and your family.
You will not see sorrow, or hear bad news this new year. Rather, God’s glory, honour, expansion, strange advancement and shouts of rejoicing shall be your portion in all dimensions of life and godliness. Surely, you will end this year very well in Jesus name. Happy New Year & Happy Sunday!
