That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us ~ 2 Timothy 1:14.

Introduction:

In view of God’s sweet promises to do new things in the lives of His people, I deeply sense that a new era with new possibilities for boundless breakthroughs is being unleashed right now upon all active believers in Christ Jesus globally (Isaiah 43:19-21).

Every new era offers a new set of opportunities for fresh starts: opportunities to be blessed, opportunities to fulfill life’s assignment excellently, and most importantly, daring opportunities to be the best for God. Yes indeed, it is our time to fully relish the order of new things from our Father-God, the Lord of Hosts, Who dwells in the heavens.

However, we need to keep in mind that new things do not just happen by accident or by a mere happenstance. The divine hand is always required to jump-start good things in the lives and experiences of His people: “…. he that built all things is God” (Hebrews 3:4b).

Flowing from the above, it must be highlighted that cooperating very well with God is imperative to sustaining the flow and the  manifestation of new things. If we are to maintain and retain whatever we have obtained from the Lord, particularly the order of new things, we must ensure that we remain strong and virile concerning things that pertain to God’s kingdom.

Keys to Keeping the Order of New Things

Primarily, all those who actively desire to maintain the order of new things in their lives must keep God first in all their ways. Until He stepped in, there was neither a beginning nor anything new (Genesis 1:1-5). Life has no meaning without God; we all need God to give real form to our lives.

God is not ‘a’ factor, but ‘the’ factor in all genuine accomplishments on earth. The Lord Jesus Christ said, “…without me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). I believe Apostle Paul was running with this revelation when he said, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me” (Philippians 4:13). And, the Psalmist also certainly had it in mind when he sang: “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it” (Psalm 127:1).

All the labour of man must be futile without God’s input. Anything in life, including the new thing you received from God, is only guaranteed when you put Him first in your life. You cannot make any lasting mark in life until God has put His mark on you (Matthew 4:19).

When you stay put with God, keeping His laws on your lips, by and by, you become brighter than the best of the day, even if you don’t look like it presently (Joshua 1:8).

Next to this, if you desire to enjoy a continuous stream of sweet new things from the Lord you must stay committed to Him, faithfully serving Him, following Jesus Christ and obeying the Holy Spirit’s leading all the way through (Colossians 4:17; 1Corinthians 15:58).

Oppositions may occasionally rear up their ugly heads, but don’t treat them as “strange”, because every great position will naturally attract great oppositions. Be determined and fully resolved in your mind to pay the price. True determination sees obstacles as if they do not exist.

Do your own bit in the works of evangelism. Reach the unreached with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ by all worthy means: words of mouth, bus evangelism, phone calls, social media, etc. Make up your mind never to fail God in your love for Him and in your services to His kingdom.

Give sacrificially with faithful consistency to maintain your open heaven experience. God certainly shows respect unto covenant givers to power the progress of His kingdom on earth.

Be deep and heavenward in your outlook. Dare to believe God to engage His supernatural touch. If you will believe, you will certainly see the glory of God (John 11:40).

Finally, remain focused and strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1-7). Double up in your lifestyle of discipline, persistency and perseverance and maintain your focus on the eternal issues of life.

Discipline holds the key to your dreams and aspirations. It is the bridge between your thoughts and its accomplishment. Drifting aimlessly through life leads to bitterness and frustrating disappointments. Failure is a consequence of a long list of accumulated little flaws that happen as a result of too little discipline.

Moreover, failures can become achievers, and losers can turn to leaders if they can persist and persevere on God’s course for their lives. The difference between average people and achievers is in their persistency and perseverance in the face of failure.

Usually, nothing appears great at the beginning stages of a man's life. His prayers may look elementary, and his efforts may be clumsy and seem uncoordinated. Even his whole sense of walking with God may look shallow. But, if that man refuses to give up on God and refuses to give in to Satan, and if his desire, determination and sense of purpose align with his passion, then God will work greatly with his life.

Yes indeed, it takes time, disciple, persistence, desire and a great passion to maintain the stream of new things. But then, those are the required fuels that give energy to our relationship with God,  powering our formidable kingdom authority and our new level of majestic glory. They are also part of God’s endless ways through which He shapes the human soul.

In conclusion, let it be internalized that new things from the El-Shaddai God are ready, and they are beckoning to us right now (Matthew 22:4; Romans 8:32; 11:36; 1Corinthians 3:21-22)! Whatever existed in your life before that looked like failure, setback, confusion, depression or oppression will come to an end as you truly embrace the “new thing”.

Next levels of glory, honor and incredible kingdom accomplishments are great possibilities for the people of God, who are truly called according to His purpose and are truly prepared for His new things.

Besides, whatever you may have been looking for is available to you now! Salvation is yours. Healing is yours. Deliverance is yours. Victory in spiritual conflict is yours. Promotion is yours. Settlement is yours. Wealth and prosperity are yours. Peace with God is yours.

All things are yours and all things are ready! Don’t let Satan call you an exception. You’re next in line for a testimony. Therefore, rather than struggling and fighting the present, focus your energy on embracing the new beginning of your dreams and expectations.

Beloved friends and brethren, it is a new day! Let us brace up for a new level of joy and accomplishment. Let us be continually inspired to greatness by the order of God’s promises. To refuse to be inspired is to too soon expire!

Be expectant, and sooner than later, you will experience new things in the positive superlative sense. May you never miss out in Jesus name, Amen. Happy Sunday!
