He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions ~ Psalms 107:20.

Introduction:

God's Word, as contained in the Bible, is one of His most precious gifts to man. He personally inspired it; therefore, it is very authoritative and highly profitable (2 Timothy 3:16). In fact, the Word actually “became flesh” to guarantee gracious impacts in all practical realities in the lives of the believers (John 1:14).

God and His Word are inseparable. God does not change, and He cannot fail. Likewise, God’s Word is infallible, neither will it return unto Him without accomplishing the purposes for which it is sent (Isaiah 55:11).

Pertaining to life and godliness, in the Word is everything we need: salvation, healing, deliverance, victory, personal direction, prosperity, joy, etc (2 Peter 1:3).It is the Word that gives birth to wonders. Hence, David said: “Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble” (Psalm 119:165, NKJV).

Your Speech in Respect to Signs & Wonders

God does nothing, except in regards to His Word; He shows up anywhere His Word is celebrated. Even then, the Word will produce good results for us only if we actively believe and speak it forth.

The speaking faith is the active faith that moves mountains (Mark 11:23). This is what separates champions from losers, faith worthies from mere ‘mental assenters’, and firebrand believers from ordinary carriers of the Bible.

Pure Christianity is in the Confession, and Jesus Christ is the “High Priest of our profession” (Hebrews 3:1). Weeping continues until the Book is unsealed, read and truly internalized (Revelation 5:4).

Until you speak the Word, it doesn’t work for you. But, when you believe the Word and you speak it forth, it performs as expected (John 15:7). In particular, when you speak forth what God's Word says about you, you are simply saying that what He said concerning you is true; and there is infinite power in that agreement.

Here is the secret: whenever you speak the Word in agreement with God, all of heaven backs you up, and holy angels hearken to your words to poise you for success as God intended (Psalm 103:20).

Happily, many exemplary heroes and heroines of faith have taken the Word seriously and have accessed countless treasures of heaven on earth. The Centurion said: “speak the Word only, and my servant shall be healed” (Matthew 8:8). And he got it! This is our turn to harvest wonders, only if we are truly ready to take the Word for what it says.

The subject of speech is so important that God told Moses: “I will be with your mouth” (Exodus 4:11-12). Why? Your mouth can affect every other thing in your destiny (Ecclesiastes 5:2, 6). It is your sound that produces your signs, and determines the quality of your life.

Your sound is very crucial to your victory. In Genesis 1:3, God said, and in Genesis 1:31, God saw. It is your positive speech that will establish you in the realm of possibilities (Matthew 17:20). More so, when your mouth is fitted with wisdom to speak the Word only, Satan and all your adversaries cannot withstand you (Luke 21:15).

There is no ‘no-go area’ for those who opt to speak God’s Word. Moses spoke and the palace of Pharaoh shook in confusion. He declared God’s counsel — let my people go — and the resistance of Pharaoh paled out. He eventually said to Moses, “go as you have desired” (Exodus 10:11).

Failures have their roots in failings to speak God’s Word. Hence, Peter said, “we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20). Indeed, what makes your goings great is God’s Word.

It is the Word that lightens up the paths of our destiny (Isaiah 8:20). God's word is our surest hiding place, a guaranteed fortress for the believers. Indeed, our lives are powerfully sealed for divine protection by the Word of God

The Primacy and the Supremacy of the Word

The Word of God is active, energetic, powerful and very sharp. The devil can hide away from it (Hebrews 4:12-13). It is the indomitable, invincible, irrepressible Spirit, gloriously exuding the life of God (John 6:63).

The Word is decisive, creative and life-transforming (1 Peter 1:2). It is the only unerring and infallible Source of truth man has ever had. It is supreme over every culture, opinion, mindset, disease, sin, Satan, deception and lack, and it can overrule anything, except itself.

God’s Word is very accurate in time and yet relevant throughout eternity, having been purified seven times (Psalm 12:6; 119:8; Matthew 5:18). The Word is the divine Errand Master for the Sure Mercies of God (Psalm 107:20).

In Acts 19:20, we are informed that the Word “mightily grew and prevailed”. The Word then must be a “Living Being”. And, Jesus Christ is that Eternal Word that saves and changes lives today (John 1:1-14).

Releasing Power in the Word for Signs and Wonders Today!

All things were made by the Word of God, and hence under the control of the same. No situation will require more than the Word to bow. No mountain will require more than the Word to be leveled. No valley will require more than the Word to be filled. And, no sickness, no pain, no barrenness, no lack will require more than the Word to disappear.

Moses was instructed to take the Rod with him anywhere he desired to see signs (Exodus 4:17). That Rod symbolizes the Word of God, nigh in the believer’s mouth today (Isaiah 11:1; John 1:1). Without any shred of doubt, the Word of God is our instrument for signs and wonders. We should hold that fact very tight!

When you start speaking God’s Word with faith, boldness, understanding and perseverance, Satan, sickness, failure, poverty and fear also begin to leave you alone. With the Word of God, the believer in Christ is a ready wonder (Psalm 71:7)!

Faith in the Word and the Working of Wonders

Everywhere God ever stepped in to intervene in the affairs of men, faith in His Word made it happen. Certainly, your faith is very important to your destiny.

As believers, we must keep a regular devotion with God to read God's word and receive instructions from Him. It is our faith in the Word that produces the shield which protects us from all evil, and no believer can be more powerful than what he knows from God's Word.

The Word of God is the processor of faith (Romans 10:17). Therefore, anytime your expectation refuses to produce, go back and settle down with the Bible to inspire your faith, masticating the Word and seeking understanding.

Friends, stop accusing God. Stop murmuring. Stop giving excuses. Start proclaiming what God has said about you and your situation. Exploits in life answer to only acts of faith and obedience (Hebrews 11:4).

Sleepers don’t win in the race of life (1 Kings 3:20; Job 24:13,16; Mark 13:25). Awake in faith. Awake, that is what you must do before God will act in your favor. Speak the Word of God persistently and confidently like Moses did before Pharaoh, and you will certainly see your signs again. Happy Sunday!
