Navy redeploys 25 senior officers

Nigerian Navy has redeployed 11 Rear Admirals and 14 Commodores.

A statement by Director of Naval Information, Mr Suleman Dahun, said Chief of Naval Staff, Mr Ibok-Ete Ibas, approved the new postings.

The statement said: “Chief of the Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete Ibas, has approved new postings of some senior officers in the Nigerian Navy. The recent reorganisation affected 11 Rear Admirals and 14 Commodores.

“The new Chief of Policy and Plans Naval at the Naval Headquarters is Matthew Emuekpere, who was Chief of Naval Transformation at Naval Headquarters. Tanko Dakwat, formerly the Chief of Naval Safety and Standards at Naval Headquarters, has been reappointed to Naval Headquarters as Chief of Administration.

“The former Director of Plans at the Naval Headquarters, Christian Ezekobe, is the new Chief of Naval Transformation at Naval Headquarters, while Kamarudeen Lawal, who was Director of Research and Development at Naval Headquarters, has been reappointed to Naval Headquarters as Chief of Naval Safety and Standards.
