West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the timetable for 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

In a statement on Tuesday, WAEC’s spokesperson, Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, said the examination would begin “from August 17, and through September 12, 2020.”

“The council hereby urges the candidates to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the examination by shunning all acts of malpractice and obeying all Covid-19 protocols that have been put in place at the examination centres,” it added.

“We have sent the timetable to the schools and candidates also have their copy,” he said

This year’s WASSCE, earlier scheduled for April, was initially postponed indefinitely because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Secondary school graduating students who live in the five English-speaking countries (Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, and Liberia) write WASSCE.
